![]() ![]() I bet I'm not the only one who doesn't want to miss on the functions Maxx provides (especially with Optimizer).Īn urgent investigation and a fix for this is needed, not a notion that a certain system has a corrupt install of audio components - as it does not concern just one system. Disabling the software solves it for the most part - although it's a workaround, not a solution. Compared to all the other recently reported issues with Waves, it seems its only related to its drivers. Like I mentioned, I've tried most of the methods of removing/reinstalling/updating the drivers & devices with no success (your proposal included). But it seems that many other users weren't so lucky (plenty of reports regarding the faulty MaxxAudio/Waves on many forums). I've never had such difficulties with Dell drivers, until now. And to be honest I do not understand your comment regarding the use of Dell drivers - I'm happy with using them as long as they are working properly. Thanks for your quick reply glad that everything seems to be working properly for you, even though its on entirely different platform. Keep an eye on the audiodg.exe utility in Task Manager, I have seen it run away and cause other problems. I have no experience with a Mobile Workstation, so up to you to let us know if there are relevant differences. The Waves MaxxAudioPro software is what controls plugging in external devices. If, after a period of time and Waves has not reinstalled, then use the download to install it, but wait as long as possible. But don't do anything extra for a few hours to see how your system works. Depending on your system, the Waves software may install on its own, although it appears some systems need to install it separately. You might reboot and run it in that condition to see how the system behaves. ![]() Now you can reinstall just the Realtek driver. If you want, you can run it in that configuration to see how the sound services behave. ![]() Uninstall them and check the box to remove all drivers until you get your sound device back to a basic Windows driver. I would recommend you go offline and remove both the Realtek and Waves software/drivers. If you don't like the OEM utilities to install software, maybe you should not continue to depend on them?įirst thing, download the Realtek Audio driver for your system. Your system seems to have a corrupted install of the Audio components. When I stream music, both of the Maxx Audio services are showing 0% CPU usage. I'm hoping Dell can investigate and come up with a quick fix, as it seems they have some history with distributing buggy audio drivers and then patching it. I would be so grateful for any additional information - I've tried a lot of things to fix this, yet to try downgrading drivers other than audio. Currently all the latest versions of drivers for software and hardware are installed. The device is updated on a weekly basis, system in a mint condition without any previous issues. overload: constant high power usage and cpu and ram drainage by WavesSysSvc Application and Waves MaxxAudio Service Application, causing high CPU temperatures and fan high rpms.system explorer: crashing and/or freezing when trying to change the volume via taskbar icon,.computer audio: the system sounds (any) are delayed even by as many as 10 seconds after event,.devices going crazy: the device list keeps on refreshing as if something is happening,.unstable system: restarting itself due to critical temperature reached (probably Dell Optimizer at fault as well - I could start a whole thread regarding this "beautiful" piece of AI software),.Please let me know if you're facing similar issues regarding Waves MaxxAudio and Realtek drivers: I'm facing issues with audio drivers that cause plenty of damage to my system, which for a mobile workstation of this magnitude is unacceptable (5550). I've been at it for a few days now - trying to figure out what went wrong and what actually could be the cause of it (aside from questionable quality check and testing of software). ![]()
